What is UEC-Optica Student Chapter?
The University of Electro-Communications(UEC) is a national university in Tokyo.
UEC-Optica Student Chapter is positioned as the University of Electro-Communications
Branch of Optica.
UEC-Optica Student Chapter consists of students majoring in optics at UEC.
We want to interact each other and learn each field.
We hold events to show the fun of optics and lectures by researchers.
Meaning of our logo
Our logo is Gentoo penguin.
Why we chose this animal for our logo is the story that
Penguin which first jumps into the sea to search fishes is the bravest in their flock
and called "the first penguin."
We chose the logo with a wish
Like the first penguin,
we want to be one of the first to be brave enough to jump into the world from the University of Electro-Communications.
