Good to see you!
We attended the 2nd JSAP(Japan Society of Applied Physics) Kanto student research meeting held at Chiba University, on June 28th. This meeting is hosted by the Chiba University JSAP student chapter and brings together JSAP student chapters from across the Kanto region in Japan.
UEC-student chapter, especially Secretary Mayo, served as a co-organizer of this meeting, and 4 of our members ended up participating. The meeting featured 9 oral presentations—including one by Specially Appointed Professor Fukagawa of Chiba University—and 24 poster presentations. From our group, President Umi and Treasurer Kazuki presented at the poster session.

Since the event was organized by the JSAP, we could hear a variety of presentations covering different fields of specialization. We also had the opportunity to network with other participants and found the experience very rewarding. The chart below shows the distribution of attendees by academic year. A total of 58 students from 10 different universities attended, with second-year master’s students (M2) making up the largest group. Through this event, we were inspired to organize a similar inter-university research exchange ourselves.
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the Chiba University JSAP student chapter for hosting this event.
